Karen was born in the small town of Cleveland, Tennessee. Her first
experience entertaining crowds came in the sports arena. Her basketball career
began in the 3rd grade and eventually earned her a full scholarship to The
University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. In 1980, Karen led the nation in
assists and became the first division-one 1st team All-American in the
school's history. In 1990, Karen was inducted into Tennessee's Basketball Hall
of Fame.
Karen works the top clubs across the country including The Stardome, The
Comedy Catch, The Improv, The Punchline, Comedy Off Broadway, and The Ice
House. In addition to her club work, she has become a favorite in the
corporate world. Her client list includes Coke, Marriott, Blue Cross, Saks
Inc., Shaw Industries, and many more. Karen has also hit the campus scene,
playing colleges such as Georgia Tech, Clemson, Penn St. and Tennessee.
Karen has worked with Jon Stewart, host of "The Daily Show" on Comedy
Central, and was a contributing writer for "The Rosie O'Donnell Show." Karen
recently finished production on a sitcom pilot called "Mystic Java" which she
co-wrote and produced for the Oxygen network.
