#1 Frequently Asked Question:
Q: What if I want to save money by ordering thru you but I still need help with the preparation, set up, serving, clean up etc?
A: We will ship your food order directly to one of our local caterers and they will come to your location to help you set up, prepare the food, serve and clean up. They can also bring warmers, utensils, tables and anything else you may need.
Please call us direct for details

FOOD SAFETY

Q: Are your meat products USDA approved?
A:  Our plant is USDA approved, inspection # 21734. This means that all meat processed in our facility is, under Federal law, inspected for wholesomeness by USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service.  We have a Federal and State inspector supervising the cleanliness and operating procedures of our meat packing and handling to make sure our meat is not contaminated. We use grade A, choice meats in our products. Some of the meats are pre-cooked and some are raw. The baking instructions on each box will ensure proper cooking time.
THAWING OF PRODUCT DUE TO SHIPPING

Q: Is my product safe to eat if it arrives thawed?
A:  Your product will arrive either frozen or semi-frozen (partially thawed). We put enough dry ice in your package and ship next day delivery ONLY, to ensure that your product is safe to eat. If you have any questions about the frozen condition of your product then please send us an email or call us via phone at 1-800-757-0058. Note, your product should be placed in the freezer upon reciept and remain frozen until ready to use. Do not thaw before use.
HANDLING OF DRY ICE

Q: What should I do with the dry ice in my box?
A:  To ensure that your product arrives frozen we ship with 5lbs. of dry ice. In most instances, the dry ice will have evaporated or partially evaporated by the time you receive the product. However, if your box does contain some dry ice, do not touch the ice with your bare hands. Use tongs, insulated (thick) gloves or an oven mitt and dispose of the ice outside. Do not let dry ice evaporate in your home or in a confined space. Crack windows open if the ice remains in your home for a period of time. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
SERVING APPETIZERS AT ROOM TEMPERATURE

Q: Can any of your appetizers be served at room temperature?
A:  No, we do not recommend serving our products at room temperature. If necessary, you can use a chafing dish to keep appetizers warm during a party. But for best results, serve straight from the oven.
BOX SIZE

Q: Will the Appetizer Box Fit in a Standard Freezer?
A: Yes, our standard box size is 13x14x3". If you think that you may have difficulty fitting the boxes in your freezer we recommend taking the product out of the box and placing inside of freezer safe ziplock bags. You can also email us special instructions for a specific delivery date and we will try our best to accomodate you.

REFRIGERATE PRODUCTS

Q: Can I refrigerate Appetizerstogo.com products?
A: Most of our hors d’oeuvres need to remain frozen until you are ready to cook them. If you thaw the product (other than as directed) it may not cook properly. If the product needs to be defrosted, it will be indicated on the directions.
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

Q: What are the cooking instructions for the appetizer products?
A: Cooking instructions vary for each product and specific instructions are on each product box. Most products are baked, some steamed or fried. Please do not microwave the appetizers. They will lose their crispness and coatings may dehydrate or warp. You should also remove all plastic trays before cooking and line the baking sheet with parchment paper or non-stick spray to prevent sticking. Don’t forget that all ovens vary in temperature; you should adjust your oven accordingly and please watch the your appetizers don't burn.
APPETIZER SIZE

Q: How big is each appetizer?
A: Each item varies, but the average weight is about 0.7-1.0 ounces (bite size).
SHELF LIFE

Q: What is the shelf life of each box of appetizers?
A: The frozen appetizers will last for about 6 months in your freezer.
ARRIVAL OF PURCHASE

Q: How will my purchase arrive?
A: Your appetizers will arrive frozen. Please put them in the freezer immediately. In each box you will find gel packs or dry ice. Gel packs can be reused. Dry ice should be handled carefully and disposed of immediately. Do not let children touch the dry ice. Your box of appetizers will be surrounded by foam to ensure maximum insulation and some boxes may have popcorn in them for airtight freshness.
PRODUCT OUT OF STOCK

Q: Will my product ever be out of stock?
A: Your product should not ever be out of stock. We manufacture daily. If for some reason we are out of stock we will notify you via e-mail to let you know when your order can ship. You can track your order by clicking on the link sent to you in the shipping confirmation email, which is sent to you when your product ships.
FINDING AN ITEM

Q: What if I cannot find the item I am looking for?
A: We are constantly adding new items. Send us a message via our CONTACT US page and let us know what you are looking for. While we may not be able to provide you with the product this time around, we may consider carrying the product in the future.
